Keywords are a great way to quickly find validated information and, for Candidate Keywords especially, you should consider the following advice;

Imagine the following Scenario

you are looking to find a candidate in your database to fill a Boilermaker role where they need to have MIG Weding Skills.

In setting up your system you have set up two Keylists such as Position Sought (has the option Boilermaker) and Skills (has the option MIG Welding)

You have set as a company wide rule - for a candidate to get a keyword added to their file it has to mean all of the following;

1. They have done that keyword (eg Position Sought or Skill) before
2. They wish to do that keyword again
3. Most Importantly, someone in your agency has made a decision that they would use this candidate to do that keyword in the future
By taking this approach it means that you are very quickly able to search validated data within your RecruitOnline system and easily find people who may be suitable for your jobs.

To perform a Candidate Keyword Search go to Search > Keywords > Candidate (next) > Select the Keylist you want to search by and a Search Type > Next
You will then be presented with the Keywords from that list to narrow down the search. You can select multiple keywords as well as other options on screen, Status : Active, State etc
